Using John Saxon's Math Books - How homeschool parents can use them

Lesson 8, Problem 15: The answer in the solutions manual should have a "+" sign instead of an "x" sign. We are adding not multiplying.

Lesson 23, Problem 1: The problem should read "mm" not "cm."

Lesson 52, Problem 9: Error in solutions manual. 1 + 0.2 = 1.2 and 1 - 0.2 = 0.8 so 1.2 divided by 0.8 = 1.5.

Lesson 81, Practice b: Error in the textbook. It should read 2 ft x 4 ft = 8 ft^2.

Lesson 108, Problems 9, 10, 11: There is a printing error in the solutions manual for those three answers. They should read: 9(a) 1.1 (b) 110% 10(a) 9/20 (b) 45% 11(a) 4/5 (b) 0.8 NOTE: Another way to correct the problem is to pen in on problems 9, 10 & 11 the data as follows: Problem 9, use 1 2/5; Problem10, use 0.24 and on Problem 11, use 35% to make the solutions manual answers correct.

Test 21, Problem 7: The answer should be 1256 ft squared as opposed to just 1256 ft?
